Get Results With Your Vegan Personal Trainer

First I should note, having a vegan personal trainer doesn’t guarantee you results. I know this might surprise you. Since you are investing in a trainer, it should automatically mean you are getting results right? One thing to remember is that your trainer isn’t with you 24/7 to keep an eye on you. So in the grand scheme of things, it’s actually up to your commitment to take their recommendations and apply them to your life. Your trainer studied how to help you get stronger and provide you with the info you need to succeed. Here are a few tips to get the most out of your sessions and get results with your vegan personal trainer.

I’m a vegan personal trainer and I want to share with you how to make sure you get results!

1. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Be sure to ask your trainer questions if you forget something or if you are unsure what you should be doing between sessions! You are paying them to be your guide, but you still have to put in the work. Whether it’s in the session or you are at a restaurant not knowing what to order, ask them for help! They want to see you succeed and if you aren’t telling them you are struggling with something they don’t know — they can only guess.

2. You will need to move more.

You will likely see your trainer only a few hours out of your entire week. Those 1, 2, or 3 hours per week with your trainer will not erase all of the hours you aren’t moving. In that case, increase your overall movement! One way to do this is by increasing your daily step count. You can find really creative ways to move throughout the day that aren’t ‘exercise’. My favorite ways to move more are dancing to music around my house, parking far away from entrances, walking while I make phone calls, or playing in the park with my dog. This extra movement increases your metabolism, your calorie burn, and when you are moving you are improving your health and getting yourself closer to results.

3. Pay attention to your diet.

One thing your trainer can make sure of is that you are getting stronger during your workouts together but if you want to see those results visibly in the mirror, you better get to work in the kitchen. I mean that in the nicest way possible. Diet is a VERY important aspect of fitness, both in health and in seeing your visible results. Calories are energy and fuel and you must fuel your body properly to have energy throughout your day and your workouts. That being said, each individual, based on their body and goal, will have a certain amount of calories they need to be consuming. Ask your trainer for tips and guidance if you aren’t sure how much to eat or what to eat to help you reach your goal.

4. Fitness should be fun.

When researching a trainer ask them about their style of training and make sure it sounds like something you would be interested in. You’ll be committing a few hours every week to them so you definitely don’t want to dislike your workouts! Once you start working with a trainer, if there is a move, routine, or exercise that doesn’t feel good to you or makes you happy, let your trainer know. They are likely more than willing to change it up for you. It’s important to enjoy the movements you are doing!

5. Get a cheerful trainer and also be kind to yourself.

Get a trainer who is going to motivate you with their energy. One that will give you positive feedback and support you in many aspects of your life. In addition to that, positive self-pep talks are so important in keeping the right attitude about this journey. This applies to training sessions and your everyday life. Tell yourself you can do it and that you are proud of what your body can do. Thank yourself for showing up and treat yourself to nice things for your hard work. Remind yourself of this daily. Be kind to yourself on tough days.

Closing Thoughts!

This is a lifestyle you are creating. A health and wellness journey should never be a quick-fix situation. Rewire your brain for movement to be part of your life every day. Understand that healthy eating is now a part of your life and it’s how you provide your body with fuel to move. Remember to choose to move and exercise because it’s going to help you thrive and enjoy this amazing life!
